Chop the carrots
Place the carrot pieces in the base of a food processor fitted with a blade attachment. Process the carrots until the pieces resemble rice grains, 15-20 seconds.

Chop the onion, bell pepper and celery
Add the onion, bell pepper and celery pieces to the food processor with the carrots. Pulse until very finely chopped, 10-12 pulses.

Optionally, brown the meat and vegetables
If desired, spray a large skillet with nonstick cooking spray and set it over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey, garlic and chopped vegetables. Sprinkle with the salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the meat is no longer pink, 8-10 minutes. Remove from the heat.

Mash the beans
Add the chili beans and liquid to a covered casserole dish. With a potato masher or the back of a fork, mash the beans until half of them are coarsely mashed and the other half are still whole.

Finish the sloppy joe mixture
Transfer the turkey and vegetable mixture to the casserole. (If you skipped the browning step, add the raw ground turkey, garlic, salt and chopped vegetables.) Add the tomato sauce, brown sugar, dry mustard and black pepper.

Stir to combine and cover. (If you skipped the browning step, be sure to break up the turkey when stirring.) Set cooking preferences using the button below.
Slow cook the sloppy joe filling
Place the sloppy joe filling on the bottom shelf of the June Oven. Slow cook for 2 hours on High or 6 hours on Low.

Rest the sloppy joe filling
Remove the sloppy joe filling from the June Oven and carefully take off the cover. Stir in apple cider vinegar. Cool, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
