Prepare the bread
Spread a thin layer of butter on 1 side of 1 slice of brioche. Place the bread buttered-side down on the prepared June Pan. Repeat with the other 3 slices of bread.
4 brioche slices
2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Add the filling
Evenly divide the filling across the 4 slices of bread, about 2 tablespoons per slice. Using a knife or an offset spatula, spread the filling over the entire surface of the bread slices.

Cook the sandwiches
Place June Pan on the middle shelf of the June Oven. Cook the sandwiches 11 minutes, until the filling has puffed slightly and some spots are turning golden brown. June will notify you when the sandwiches are ready. If desired, follow on-screen directions to continue cooking.

Add the strawberries
Remove the June Pan from the June Oven and set it on a cooling rack. Let the sandwiches cool slightly, 2-3 minutes. Evenly divide the sliced strawberries over the filling on two slices of bread. Sprinkle the flaky sea salt over the berries, if using.

Carefully flip the 2 slices of bread without strawberries over the slices with strawberries so the fruit is enclosed within 2 sandwiches. Press down firmly. Slice each sandwich in half or quarters. Serve warm.
