Preheat the June Oven
With a foil-lined June Air Basket in the bottom shelf position, preheat the June Oven to 325℉ on the Air Fry cook mode using the button below.

Slice in half and separate the pitas into layers
Carefully slice each pita round in half to expose the pocket. Using your hand, scissors or a knife, separate each half into 2 thin piece half-rounds. (Pita pocket bread has 2 distinct layers and you are separating them.)

Cut the pitas into wedges
Stack 3 thin pita half-rounds and cut them into 4 wedges. Repeat until all half-rounds are cut into wedges.
Season the wedges
Transfer the wedges to a large bowl and drizzle them with the olive oil. Using your hands or a spatula, toss gently to coat. Sprinkle with the salt and any additional spices into the bowl, if using, and toss again.

Fill the June Air Baskets
Arrange the seasoned wedges in single layers across 2 June Air Baskets.

Start air frying the chips
Slide the June Air Baskets into the middle and top shelf positions with the foil-lined June Air Basket in the bottom shelf position. Air fry the pita chips 6 minutes. June will notify you when the Air Baskets should be rotated and switched.
Rotate the Air Baskets
Carefully rotate the positions of the two June Air Baskets with the pita chips, switching the top Air Basket to the middle position and the middle to the top.
Finish air frying the pita chips
Air fry the pita chips an additional 4 minutes, until they are brown and crispy. June will notify you when the pita chips are ready.
Cool and serve
Remove the June Air Baskets from the June Oven. For the crispiest results, allow the pita chips to cool on the Air Baskets before serving.
